This process described general requirements for oil flushing of piping system. Flushing is aimed at protecting equipment and inside surface of the pipe from unexpected pollution including foreign substances (rust, mill scale, lacquer) that might cause trouble for system or device operation, and keeping function and durability.

Pickling makes inside and surface of the pipe clean, removing rust that might cause trouble for operation and maintenance, preventing the surface of carbon steel pipe from rotting by artificially forming phosphate and film, cutting off disorder of equipment or inner damage in advance aiming at maintaining function and durability. At least, the whole piping system of the following service needs to execute pickling after finishing piping hydraulic pressure test.
